Obituary of Ruby Yvonne Hunter
Ruby died peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital surrounded by her family. Ruby was predeceased by her husband George Edward Hunter (Ed) in 2013. Also predeceased by her parents Lorena and Urquhart McCosh and her brother Reginald.
Ruby is survived by her brothers Kenneth (Joan) and David.
Loving mother of Brian Hunter (Beverley), Linda Vanderkam (late Alex), and Kent Hunter (Sharon). Devoted grandmother of Shannon (Andrew), Tracy (Lorne), Bradley (Julianne), Heather (Graham), Jessie, and Andrew.
Proud great-grandmother of Gabriel Caribe, Angus, Abby, Charlie, Mitchell, Sofia, Shay, Cameron, and Bryce.
Ruby grew up living on a farm in Corbetton. She met her beloved Ed at a dance at Brampton Hospital (where she worked). They moved to Brampton to raise their family. In their senior years they moved to Port Hope. When Ed passed she moved to Roseglen Village, and as she need more assistance she moved to Extendicare in Cobourg, where she spent her last years. In her own quiet way, she touched many peoples lives. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Friday December 13th from 1-2pm until time of Memorial Service at 2pm. Interment, Wesleyville Cemetery.
