Obituary of Christene "Chris" Gautreau

In loving memory of Chris Gautreau, 78 years, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Ed’s House Hospice on January 3rd, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Wife of David for over 50 years. Beloved mother of Jason Gautreau and Corinne (Ted) Papadopoulos. Cherished grandmother of Tami (Ash) and Jakob.  Proud great-grandmother (“G.G.”) to baby Theo. Caring sister of Eileen (David), Kathy (John) and Raymond (Anne). Predeceased by mother Sadie and siblings Jean and Ormie.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Ed’s House Hospice for their kindness and compassion.  A special thank you to Dr. Mulé for the support and guidance he offered to Chris and her family over the past year. 

Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Chris on Sunday, January 12^th, from 12 noon until 4pm, at Allison Funeral Home (103 Mill Street North, Port Hope).

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made by cheque or online to Ed’s House Hospice.
