Elizabeth Weaver Obituary

Elizabeth Weaver February 8, 1927 to January 12, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to a warm and wonderful human being. Elizabeth (nee Carmichael) was a loving wife to Charles Weaver (2019) for seventy-three years. Still in her teens, she waited for him to return from WWll. They married and gave life to two cherished daughters, Janis Weaver and Marilyn (Weaver) Craggs (Bill).

And their girls gave them three much loved grandsons: Jeremy Connaghan (Michelle), Adam Connaghan and Scott Remila, who in turn, gave Charlie and Beth five great-granddaughters: Sarah and Emily; and Claudia, Leah and Rachel, who were adored and loved to bits.

Beth was a hard worker; a valued friend; and a dear colleague who could soothe an ill child at the doctors' offices, where she was employed. She was generous with her time, driving and advocating for the Cancer Society, baking for everyone and her UCW group; sewing stylish clothing; quilting in a bee, and our mum was a most reliable taxi service for her kids. Beth enjoyed travelling, trying new things, laughing until she cried, entertaining friends and family and she loved music.

We will grieve. We will smile. We will laugh. We will remember and be forever grateful for her love and her life.

Please join family and friends to celebrate the wonderful life of Elizabeth Weaver at the Port Hope Legion, May 4th from 1PM to 4PM.
