Hall-Humpherson, David On January 1, 2006 in his 80th year. David, son of Nellie Hall (Humpherson) the British Suffragette and brother to Peter Hall-Humpherson. David served aboard HMCS Prince Robert during the end of WW II. David, a graduate of Ontario College of Art, OCA (now OCAD) joined the permanent teaching staff in 1950. David had already established his reputation as a professional designer-artist in the advertising community. DHH became the Dean of the Foundation Studies Department, Interim Head of Communication and Design and finished his years at OCA as President. David was the first recipient of the A. J. Casson Award for Distinguished Service honoured by the Alumni Association in 1986. DHH is remembered by his students as an inspirational and dedicated teacher. David will be missed by his many friends, colleagues and family.
