Van Hees, Edmond Karel Passed away suddenly at St. Michael?s Hospital, Toronto, on Tuesday December 16, 2008. Karel in his 80th year, beloved husband of Marianne Hanen. Loving father of Dr. Jacqueline de Waal van Hees (Michael de Waal), Edmond Van Hees (Jessica McNally) and Karl Van Hees (Marion Breen). Adoring Opa to Lana, Vanessa and Micaela de Waal, Sascha, Katherine and Jocelyn Van Hees. Brother of Margaret Berlie of Cobourg, Arnold van Hees and Ria Simons both of the Netherlands and the late Gerard, Jan and George van Hees and Wilhelmina Aubrie. Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass at the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, 155 Walton Street, Port Hope, Saturday 11 am. Interment, St. Mary?s Cemetery, Port Hope. The funeral home is located at the juncture of Ontario St., Young St. and Mill St. N. on the east (left) side of Mill St. N. The parking lot (behind the building) can be accessed either from Young St. or Mill St. N.
