Linden, Norma Anna NEE Mitchell On Tuesday June 28, 2011 after ten years at Community Nursing Home in her 86th year. Predeceased by her parents Annie Edwards and Norman Mitchell, sister Betty Bennett and her husband the LOVE OF HER LIFE James Linden. They are one once again. Survived by her devoted brother and sister-in-law Chris and Edna Mitchell. Loving mother of three children Teddy, Beverly and Lee. Grandmother to Kimberly (J.P.), Stephanie (Gab), Gord, Molly (Wayne) and Matt. Great-grandmother to Solis and survived by her many nieces and nephews. Norma was born and raised in Port Hope. She married James in 1949 and embarked on a military career, being posted to Petawawa, Soest, Germany, Whitehorse, Yukon twice and Ottawa, Ontario twice. Upon the death of James (1967) Norma returned to Port Hope where she raised her three teenagers and worked at Nicholson File Factory until retirement. Mother was a well-read woman and we can all see her having tea and sharing the paper with father on the other side. We love you Mom. Was held at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Saturday at 11 am. Allison Funeral Home Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 Exit at County Rd. 28, Ontario St. (exit 464). Follow Ontario St. south into Port Hope. The funeral home is located at the juncture of Ontario St., Young St. and Mill St. N. on the east (left) side of Mill St. N. The parking lot (behind the building) can be accessed either from Young St. or Mill St. N.

Interment

Port Hope Union Cemetery Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 Exit at County Rd. 2, Toronto Rd. (exit 461). Follow Toronto Rd. south into Port Hope. The cemetery is located just past Jocelyn St./Marsh Rd. on the west (right) side of the road.
