Obituary of Carol Anne Battersby

Battersby, Carol Anne (nee;Rowland) Softly, gently she slipped away on Sunday March 17, 2013 in her 74th year. Carol will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 52 years Vern. Dear mother of Brenda Johns (Dean) and Elizabeth Wilson (Mike Highfield). Loving grandmother of Tyler and Somer Johns, Katie and Claire Wilson. Sister of Lynn Pope (late John), Jack Rowland (Liz), Jane Rumgay (Peter) and the late Diane Battersby (late Larry). Fondly remembered by Madison and Brooklyn Highfield and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at St. John's Church, 33 Pine Street North, Port Hope, Saturday March 23 from 1 pm until time of Memorial Service at 2 pm. Private interment at a later date. Friends will be received at St. John's Church, 33 Pine Street North, Port Hope, Saturday March 23 from 1 pm until time of Memorial Service at 2 pm. St. John's Anglican Church Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 eastbound Exit at County Rd. 2, Toronto Rd. (exit 461). Follow Toronto Rd. south into Port Hope to Ridout St. Turn left at Ridout St. Follow Ridout St. east (it becomes Walton St.) to Pine St. Turn left on Pine St. Follow Pine St. north. The church is located a short distance along on the east (right) side of the street at the corner of South St. FROM HWY 401 westbound Exit at County Rd. 28, Ontario St. (exit 464). Follow Ontario St. south into Port Hope. At the "Y" veer to the left and continue south to Walton St. Turn right on Walton St. Follow Walton St. west through the business section to Pine St. Turn right on Pine St. Follow Pine St. north. The church is located a short distance along on the east (right) side of Pine St. at South St.

Welcome Church Cemetery Port Hope ON DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 401 Exit at County Rd. 2, Toronto Rd. (exit 461). Follow County Rd. 2 south. The cemetery is located almost immediately south of the 401 on the west (right) side of the road.
