Obituary of Charles M. Weaver
Weaver, Charles M.:
Another unsung hero of WWII, (1941 to 1945) has left us.
Born in Woodford, Ontario, Sept. 10, 1920, to Hollis and Grace Weaver, Charlie was the middle of three sons. (Predeceased by Kenneth and Raeburn)
Just two months short of his ninety-ninth birthday, Charlie, loving and beloved husband of Elizabeth Weaver, (for seventy-three amazing years), has died.
He was a proud, loving father to Janis Weaver, and Marilyn Craggs (William), and grampa to three much loved grandsons:
. Jeremy (Michelle) Connaghan and their daughters, Sarah and Emily
. Adam (Tracy) Connaghan and their daughters, Rachel, Claudia and Leah
. Scott Remila (Erin Griffin)
Charlie was also delighted to have been adopted by Michelle and Michael Cox, as their "Grampa Charlie".
He was an admired "in law", friend and neighbour; a fun uncle; and shared his vast life experience as a mentor, and role model to many.
He was an avid gardener; accomplished woodworker; conservation warrior; life-long lover of nature, and a generous contributor to the Garden Hill Tractor Club.
Cremation has taken place, followed by a private family gathering.
Friends and family will celebrate Charlie’s life, Saturday August 3rd, 2019, at Branch 30 of the Royal Canadian Legion, 29 Thomas Street, Port Hope, between 1:30 and 3:30 pm. Come, and share some of your favourite memories!
Charles Weaver was an honourable man, who will be remembered by many.
