Katherine Mary Stewart (nee Tyrrell) March 7, 1930- May 5, 2021 On Wednesday May 5, 2021 at Port Hope, Ontario in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her father George Carey Tyrrell, her mother Dora Madeleine Joslin, her brother Joseph Morten Tyrrell and her husband Douglas Bruce Stewart. Mother of Sally (Michael), Hugh (Kim) and Tom (Julia). Grandmother of Diana (Luis), Victoria (Alex) and Ian, Shawn (Pamela) and Nicole (Peter), and Jackson, Mallory and Evelyn. Great-grandmother of Julia and Emma, Emily, and Madelyn, Tatum and Emerson. Kit was a career social worker, an artist, an avid gardener and a lover of the great outdoors. She will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will follow in more auspicious times. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
