To all the Bates family: Our condolences on the loss of your father. Did not have the pleasure of meeting him, but his late brother, Kenny and his wife Jean (my first cousin) visited with us while we lived in Richmond Hill. Also spent some social time with them at their home while we were in Sydney. If Don was like his brother, Kenny, he was a hoot to be in his company.
