Obituary of Joan Elizabeth Allison

Allison, Joan Elizabeth (Fenton)

May 1, 1938 – December 24, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Joan Allison on December 24, 2021. We lovingly pay tribute to her pride in her family, her resilience to manage the effects of MS and her passion for the game of Golf. Joan's steadfast faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life. Predeceased by loving husband Mervin Allison, her parents Cecil and Georgina Fenton, and brother George Fenton (survived by Kathy). Those that remain to mourn her loss include: her companion Edward Williams now deceased, her children, Dale Allison with daughter's Nicole and Katherine, Craig Allison (Cathy) and his son Lucas, and Susan Lago (Flavio) and their daughter, Briony Lago. The oldest of 9 children, Joan leaves behind: Jim Fenton (Anne), Louis Fenton (Annemeike), Ruth Larmer (Frank), Robert Fenton (Liz), Ken Fenton (Phyllis), Fred Fenton (Karen), Eliza Dinner (Robert), and many beloved nieces and nephews. From the Allison side of the family, Joan will be fondly remembered by Christine Selby (Newton), Bill Allison (Mary), and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at St. John's Anglican Church, 33 Pine Street North, Port Hope, Saturday April 30, 2022 – from 10 am until service at 11am.
