My dear cousin, Gordon! what a lovely, warm hearted soul you were. Always supportive, funny and insightful. A bonnie Scots lad, indeed.
I remember playing soccer in your back yard on Port Union, then a big bbq by Uncle David (big, round very well done burgers!!! :) followed by Trivial Pursuit and a good laugh. I so enjoyed watching you play for Wexford and coach Ernie Glass. You tackled hard, won the ball and then distributed to others; a true team player just as you were in life. I was so proud when you led the Laurier Uni soccer team; what an accomplishment.
and you are ever immortalized by the Barenaked Ladies when they named their first Mowat album after you, "Gordon" (we all had that Adidas gym bag in grade 9, eh?)
